Veterinary Receptionist

Aston Clinton Veterinary Centre requires a bubbly, friendly, caring person to join our reception team. Good empathetic communication skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic and a friendly, understanding attitude towards clients as client interaction is key.

Job Description:

Greeting and welcoming clients of the vets, kennels and grooming parlour both in person and on the phone, and dealing with their requirements.

Duties:

* Answering the telephone, dealing with enquiries and making appointments and bookings. * Taking payments and keeping appropriate records on the computer. * End of day cashing up. * Keeping reception clean, tidy and well presented. * Filling prescriptions and dispensing medications on the advice of the veterinary surgeon. * Give advice where appropriate and be responsible for retail sales of diet foods and pet products.

Skills/Qualifications:

Excellent Telephone Skills and Verbal Communication, Keyboard Skills, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Organisation, Able to work as part of a team, Able to Handle Pressure.

 Working Hours:

The normal hours of work will be on a rota system of shifts which will include I weekend in 4, as follows. Week 1: 10.00am – 7.30pm Monday – Friday, Saturday. 8.15am – 5.30pm Sunday 8.30am – 6.00pm A day off in lieu will be taken on Wednesday after this weekend. Week 2: 8.45am to 5.30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, Wednesday Off. Week 3: 9.00am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday. Week 4: 8.15am-5.30pm Monday – Friday. All Lunch Breaks are one hour.

Veterinary Surgeons Vet Required  WITH NO OOH.

Job description:

Vet required for friendly small animal practice in Buckinghamshire WITH NO OOH.

We are a VN training centre with 4 vets, 4 nurses and 4 receptionists. Appointments are 15 minutes long. Our clinic facilities include a theatre suite, dental suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory. We also have our own boarding kennels, cattery and dog grooming parlour on site which makes for a busy and interesting place to work. CPD is encouraged and funded. The ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic and a friendly understanding attitude towards clients as client interaction is key. Ability to work without the need for supervision is important as sole charge is required at the weekend.
